<p> There are single-end and double-end measuring plugs. Plugs are seldom used for measuring grooves with the diameter below 15 mm. It’s quite the opposite for large holes measurements. In this case, often, one will inevitably have to use a measuring plug with several nozzles directed to different sides. A typical method for checking orifices having diameters of approximately 8 mm is also use of measuring plugs with outlet nozzles. In order to obtain precise measurement values for bushing and rod diameters, a measuring plug is worked out and fitted tightly into the bushing. In case there is no central surface on the workpiece, the central base notch must be made on the gauge to control the position of the plug. Low pressure devices are made with two or more scales for separate or simultaneous measurement of two or more sizes.
